Food forest map & navigation
View your whole food forest on the map, zoom in on a plot and navigate to any crop. Markers show how many crops grow at each spot and what there is to harvest.
Crop registration
Find a species in the plant database, select the right cultivar and place the crop on the map: with your phone's GPS, with the My Food Forest GPS or by hand. Add the planting date, the supplier and, where relevant, the rootstock.
My Food Forest GPS
Our own GPS puts crops on the map to within 10 cm, where your phone is usually metres off. Paired over Bluetooth in a few taps. To buy or to rent, for use from the Grow plan.
Crop information
More than 1,000 edible plants, each with a complete profile: botanical name, type, height, origin, flowering time and harvest period per plant part, from fruit and leaves to nuts, tubers and shoots.
Own and new crops
A species missing? Request it for the central database. Is it a unique variety? Record it as your own crop, linked to the base species.
Harvest calendar
See per month and week number which crops are ripe. That way you plan harvest days ahead and know when you need extra hands.
Harvest module
Record your harvest with weight, date, time and location. Choose between quick basic recording and a detailed version with harvesting method, quality and processing.
Recipes
Add recipes with ingredients and preparation, and link them to the crop. That way the knowledge of what to do with your harvest is kept for everyone.
Events
Create events with a name, description, date, start time and location. From guided tours and talks to cooking workshops and tasting days.
Managing your food forest
As a manager you have your own management environment. You edit your food forest's details, set its location on the map and keep track of how many members have joined.
- Food forest details: name, address, country, number of members, planting date, website and email.
- You decide who sees your food forest: make it anonymous and it does not appear on the map.
- An overview of all your crops, events and recipes in one place.
